As mentioned yesterday, we're next to the bridge and so in the morning we just have to cross it back into Luxembourg and follow the river. Too bad that the first 1.5 kms is tarmac (cycle path). But as soon as the route crosses the main road it becomes a soft path that immediately goes up towards some woods, after which it stays flat as a gravel road in the woods for several kilometers. Which is nice, because it is rather warm today. The gravel road steeply descends to Rosport and the houses we have been seeing for a while of which we thought they are Rosport are in fact not: at the foot of the descent we have to turn right and almost as if going around the corner before seeing the actual village. In Rosport we want to look for something to drink but the only thing that isn't closed is the petrol station along the main road. So be it and with an ice cream and 2 cans of soda we head for the market square to have a break.

The path between Rosport and Born is a repeat of the section Echternach to Rosport. The path rapidly climbs to the woods and then descends again at Born until almost in the village. So actually it is not all that exciting. There are a couple of nice view points but most of the time we're in the woods. So besides the fact that Lupita suffers from serious pain in her neck (problably the backpack was unbalanced) this day passes rather unnoticed. At the camping we pitch the tent along the river and at night we have dinner in Wasserbillig with a university friend of mine who nowadays works and lives in Luxembourg.

The original plan was to walk the day after (Sunday) from Born to Wasserbillig, a stage of just under 10 kms. From Wasserbillig we can then take the train to Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck to retrieve the car. However, the next day Lupita still has pain in her neck and shoulder and we decide to simply take the bus from Born to Wasserbillig. But of course with our luck the bus is a bit early and we just miss it. And on Sundays it only goes once per 2 hours....but let's not dispair, in half an hour there is the bus to Echternach and we decide to take that one then. In Echternach we have to wait 20 minutes for the bus to Ettelbruck and so in the end we are back at the car pretty fast. The section after Born will just have to wait.
